Farewell at Nanjing’s Winehouse

Author: Bai Li(AD701-AD762, Tang Dynasty)

Gentle breeze blows the willows and flowers, mixed with aroma of the vino.

Young waitresses take out newly brewed wine, offering guests for a taste.

All of my friends here in Nanjing are showing up, seeing me off,

Everyone regardless leaving or staying,  boozes and proposes rounds of toasts.

Hoa! My friends, please go ahead and ask Yangtze River that is flowing east,

Is she or is it our friendship that will run and last longer?
