[TRANSLATION] 广陵赠别 – Farewell in Guang Lin

Farewell in Guang Lin

Author: Bai Li(AD701-AD762, Tang Dynasty)

Translator: Lei Fan 2017 in Chicago

My jade jargon is filled with fine wine,

Miles of farewell finally comes to an end.

Tie the horses to the willows on the side,

Raise our cups, toast on this empty street.

Sighting the water flowing towards the sky,

Staring at the mountains rise above the sea.

Let’s split right away before awake from revelry,

So we will not see sorrow on each others’ face.
