Six Poems of River Heng, No.3

Author: Bai Li(AD701-AD762, Tang Dynasty)

Translator: Lei Fan 2017 in Chicago

Standing near River Heng, I look west where Chang’ An is at.

Water of Han is rolling east, connecting the Ferry of Yantze.

White waves rise like mountains, how can I make my cross?

The wind is howling, aggravate the anxiety of my boatman.
